Amar Upadhyay lashes out at Ram Kapoor commenting on his career choices: 'I don’t care what...'

After Ektaa Kapoor, Amar Upadhyay slammed TV actor Ram Kapoor for sharing his perspective on his career choices. The Bade Acche Lagte Hain actor recently criticised Upadhyay’s decision to leave television for films, calling it a poor choice. Reflected on his enduring career, Upadhyay hit back at him saying, "With 32 years in the industry, I'm still thriving” and vowed to stay focused on his craft, rising above negativity.

Commenting on Upadhyay’s career, Ram said, “I told Amar not to leave this (television), but he left it for a film. A lot of us, including me, told him, ‘What are you doing, brother?’ I told him that you are Mihir of the country. Why are you leaving for a film called Dhund: The Fog?” he told in an interview with TellyTalk. 

To this, Upadhyay clarified that he never left television. “I have a very positive mindset, and I know that I am an extremely hardworking person. I don’t sit at home for more than two to four days; I go mad if I don’t work. I’m not going to leave TV, and I won’t leave it because television has given me constant work. I have a meeting tonight for another big TV show, and I’m thinking about how much to take on. Many of my colleagues from back in the day are no longer working in TV. I have been in the industry for 32 years, and I am still going strong, he said.

Amar Upadhyay credited his success to a higher power, expressing sincere gratitude for the opportunities he's received. Undeterred by criticism, he shared his life philosophy: "I don't invest time or energy into what others think or say about me. Negative comments and podcasts don't faze me; my focus remains on my work."

Earlier, TV producer Ektaa Kapoor posted a cryptic message on Instagram, targeting unprofessional actors who spread false information. This came after Ram Kapoor discussed a kiss scene in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, claiming Ekta insisted on it despite his reservations.

Meanwhile, Amar Upadhyay's recent projects include the TV show ‘Doree’ (2023-24) and Hansal Mehta's web series ‘Scoop’. He also had a notable role in the 2022 blockbuster film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, starring alongside Tabu, Kartik Aaryan, and Kiara Advani.
