IIT Baba, Abhay Singh, banned from Juna Akhara for allegedly using abusive language against the Guru, shares personal struggles and trauma behind his decision to embrace sanyas.
Abhay Singh, better known as IIT Baba, has recently found himself at the center of attention during the Maha Kumbh but now faces a ban from entering the renowned Juna Akhara. This has sparked widespread discussion on social media and in news outlets. The Akhara, a significant spiritual and religious organization, has imposed this ban on Abhay Singh due to allegations that he used abusive language against the Guru. The Akhara emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication towards the Guru, stating that anyone who fails to follow these principles cannot be considered a true Sanyasi.
IIT Baba, whose real name is Abhay Singh, has claimed that he studied aerospace engineering at IIT Bombay, which has contributed to his public persona. He hails from Haryana and has gained recognition in the media and online communities. However, some skeptics question the authenticity of his claims, labeling him as "fake" on various social platforms. Despite the mixed reactions, Singh continues to maintain his identity as Engineer Baba and emphasizes his background in engineering.
In a recent conversation with NDTV India, IIT Baba opened up about the reasons behind his decision to take sanyaas, the vow of renunciation. He shared that his decision was deeply influenced by personal struggles, including witnessing frequent conflicts between his parents during his childhood. Abhay Singh mentioned that he grew up in an environment affected by domestic violence, which left a significant impact on his mental health. This difficult upbringing, he explained, led to trauma, which he believes contributed to his choice of leaving behind a conventional life and pursuing spirituality.
When asked about his thoughts on settling down, Abhay Singh explained that his mental health issues were a key factor in his decision to avoid marriage or a typical family life. His openness about his struggles and the emotional turmoil he has faced gives insight into the personal challenges that have shaped his journey.
Despite his controversial stance and mixed reception, IIT Baba’s story continues to intrigue people, shedding light on the complex interplay of personal pain, mental health, and spiritual seeking. His exclusion from the Juna Akhara marks a turning point in his spiritual journey, leaving many to wonder what his next steps will be in both his public life and personal quest for peace.
