Salman Khan once compared Shilpa Agnihotri to Aishwarya Rai during Bigg Boss 7: 'Shakal milti hai isiliye...'

Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss is known to create controversies, and season 7 of the popular reality show was no different. One of the moments that stood out during the seventh season of the show was during a Weekend Ka Vaar episode where the host Salman Khan compared contestant Shilpa Agnihotri to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. For the unversed, Shilpa Agnihotri and her husband Apurva Agnihotri partook in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss Season 7. During one of the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, Salman Khan compared Shilpa Agnihotri to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and said, "Aapki shakal toh Aishwarya Rai mein bhi bahut milti hai. (Your face even resembles Aishwarya Rai a lot)." 

Shilpa Agnihotri was visibly taken aback by the comparison when her husband, Apurva Agnihotri, remarked, "Bola hai na aapko pehle bhi. (It has been told to you before)." 

Salman Khan then continued saying, "Nahi matlab aisa toh nahi hai Aishwarya Rai mein Shakal milti hai isiliye… (No, it’s not like that. It’s just that she resembles Aishwarya Rai, that's why…),” later correcting himself saying, “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,” causing laughter on the sets. 

In Bigg Boss 7, Gauahar Khan emerged as the winner on December 28, 2013. Kajol's sister Tanishaa Mukerji was the runner-up while Ajaz Khan secured third place. 

As for Shilpa Agnihotri, the actress who recently made a comeback to television as Kaikeyi with the TV series Shrimad Ramayan, has been married to Apurva Agnihotri since June 2004. The couple welcomed a baby girl named Ishaani in 2022.
