The UP Chief Minister said that till February 26, he expects that more than 45 crore people will take part in the Maha Kumbh.
The ongoing Mahakumbh Mela is seeing devotees gathering in heavy numbers to take holy dip at the ghats of Sangam. Over 200 foreign devotees took part in the prayers and bhajan kirtans at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Saturday, lauding the spiritual energy and impeccable organisation of the event.
The MahaKumbh Mela (the festival of the sacred pitcher) is anchored in Hindu mythology. It is the world's largest public gathering and collective act of faith. This congregation, primarily, includes Ascetics, Saints, Sadhus, Sadhvis, Kalpvasis and Pilgrims from all walks of life, as per the Maha Kumbh website.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met foreign diplomats at Prayagraj on Saturday, on the sidelines of the ongoing Maha Kumbh.
The UP Chief Minister said that till February 26, he expects that more than 45 crore people will take part in the Maha Kumbh.
The third Amrit Snan is scheduled to held on February 3, on Basant Panchami. This time the authorities are being more careful for the safety and security of the devotees.
The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 that began at Prayagraj on January 13 is set to continue till February 26. The Maha Kumbh is held after every 144 years.

Ahead of the 'Amrit Snan' at Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the police conducted a flag march, assessing security arrangements in the region.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on Monday a plea seeking implementation of specific guidelines and regulations to ensure safety of devotees attending the Maha Kumbh where at least 30 people were killed and 60 injured in a stampede on January 29.
According to the cause list on February 3 uploaded on the apex court website, a bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar is slated to hear the PIL filed by advocate Vishal Tiwari.
The petition seeks to prevent stampede incidents and protect the fundamental rights of equality and life under Article 21 of the Constitution.
Pilgrims at the Mahakumbh Mela dismissed social media allegations of mismanagement and defamation attempts, stating that 90 per cent of reports on Facebook and Instagram are fake.
They praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the smooth arrangements, urging people not to believe in rumours.
"It took us only two hours from the station to take a dip in Sangam," a devotee told ANI.
Devotees also termed the Mauni Amavasya incident as accidental and appealed for caution.
A stampede-like situation arose at Mahakumbh on January 29, in which at least 30 people were killed and 60 were injured. Till now twenty-five bodies have been identified.
The city of Prayagraj is all set to host the Amrit Snan on February 3, coinciding with Basant Panchami, as part of the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela 2025.
As of Saturday, over 330 million (33 crores) devotees have taken the holy dip at Maha Kumbh, marking it as the largest religious gathering in the world. On that same day, more than 200 international devotees participated in prayers and bhajan kirtans in Prayagraj, expressing their appreciation for the spiritual energy and exceptional organization of the event.
The Uttar Pradesh government has made elaborate arrangements for the event, which has been praised by devotees. Many have commended the government's efforts in ensuring a smooth and safe experience for the pilgrims.
A large number of devotees gathered at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar to take a holy dip in the Ganga and offer prayers to Maa Saraswati on the occasion of Basant Panchami.
The religious city witnessed an influx of devotees from different parts of the country since early morning, with many also performing charitable acts and rituals.

It is believed that Maa Saraswati was born on Basant Panchami, and taking a dip in the Ganga on this auspicious day holds great significance. Devotees were seen offering prayers and participating in the Ganga aarti, seeking blessings for the fulfilment of their wishes.
The Uttar Pradesh government has deployed two senior IAS officers, who were part of the team that successfully conducted the 2019 Ardh Kumbh, to oversee the smooth conduct of the Maha Kumbh Mela in the wake of the recent stampede that left at least 30 pilgrims dead.
Ashish Goyal and Bhanu Chandra Goswami have hands-on experience in administration in Prayagraj, including a deep insight into crowd management and inter-agency coordination during the 2019 Ardh Kumbh, an official said.
They have joined Mela Adhikari Vijay Kiran Anand, forming a trio that was part of the mega fair six years ago, he said.
