A group of protesters vandalised Allu Arjun's home on Sunday, demanding compensation for the family of the victim who died during the stampede at the Pushpa 2 premiere in Hyderabad. A few hours later, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has condemned the attack on Telugu star's home and ordered police to take strict action against the perpetrators.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Reddy wrote, "I condemn the attack on the homes of film celebrities. I am directing the State DGP and City Police Commissioner to take strict action regarding law and order. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard. Senior officials should take precautions to prevent police personnel who are not involved in the Sandhya Theater incident from responding."

After the incident, eight people were arrested by the Hyderabad police and taken to the Jubilee Hills police station. These people were from Osmania University's Joint Action Committee (JAC) and demanded one crore as compensation for the family of the 35-year-old woman who died during the stampede at the Sandhya theatre.

Following the stampede, Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13. The Telangana High Court granted him a four-week interim bail on the same day and Arjun was released from the prison on December 14 morning. Several celebrities from the Telugu film industry came to Arjun's home on the same day to meet him. 

On Saturday, Revanth Reddy had alleged that Arjun visited the Sandhya theatre despite police permission being denied, a charge that the actor denied. Hours after Reddy slammed Arjun, the latter refuted the allegations saying, it was not true, and in fact, the police were clearing the way for him and he reached the venue under their directions.
