Game Changer X review: Ram Charan's performance, Thaman's BGM lift up 'predictable entertainer' say netizens

Ram Charan and director Shankar's highly anticipated film, Game Changer, hit theatres worldwide today, generating immense buzz. To cater to the excitement, the governments of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka allowed early morning shows in numerous theatres. As the initial screenings concluded, fans took to social media to share their reactions. On X, reviews overwhelmingly praised Ram Charan's performance, and Thaman’s background score as ‘terrific’, however, they termed Shankar’s directorial ‘predictable commercial entertainer’.

A user wrote, “#GameChanger is a commercial cinema which has Shankar's mark from the start. Charan's performance as Ram Nandan and Appanna looks great. Thaman's Background score is a huge plus. Interval Block, Mother Scene came out well. Jaragandi& Ra maccha looks stunning onscreen.” The second user reacted, “The movie has many flaws, but Ram Charan breathed life into his character. The scenes between Ram Charan and SJ Surya are impressive, and the dialogues are also well-written. Thaman did a good job with the music. Although everyone did their part well, it's a letdown from Shankar sir's usual standards."

Although some viewers felt that the film's pacing was uneven, others appreciated its thoughtful themes and impactful messaging. “Game Changer is a strictly above-average political entertainer with its highs and lows. The movie opens with an oora mass train fight scene featuring Ram Charan, setting the tone with sheer energy and action. This is followed by the vibrant “Ra Macha Macha” song, where Ram Charan impresses with his signature massy yet classy dance moves. However, the film slows down significantly, especially during the love scenes with Kiara Advani, which feel overly stretched and disrupt the flow. The interval twist is a masterstroke, completely unexpected and brilliantly executed, showcasing director Shankar’s knack for gripping storytelling.,” wrote a user.
