Game Changer trailer: 'Unpredictable' Ram Charan fights corruption in Shankar film, fans say 'huge blockbuster loading'

Three years after the 2022 global blockbuster RRR, Ram Charan will be seen next in the political thriller Game Changer. The trailer of the movie was unveiled at a grand event in Hyderabad on Thursday, January 2. Game Changer's trailer launch event had RRR director SS Rajamouli as the main chief guest.

The trailer features Ram Charan as an IAS officer Ram Nandan, who fights against the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Bobbili Mopidevi (SJ Suryah) to remove corruption from the country and avenging his father Apanna's death. Charan plays a double role of the father and son. In the trailer's final scene, Ram Charan says "I am unpredicatble" in his own unique style. Kiara Advani, Anjali, Samuthirakani, and Srikanth also make brief appearances in the trailer.

Fans are highly impressed seeing the trailer. One of them said, "After watching Game Changer Trailer I can confidently say that a massive blockbuster is loading. Ram Charan looks so good. No star in recent times has looked so stylishly versatile in front of the camera. What screen presence. Rooting for Shankar to make a massive comeback", while another added, "Very good trailer cut. Production values are excellent. Charan looks great and looks like Anjali will have a good character. Waiting for SJ Suryah and Charan’s face off. Good luck to the team."

Game Changer is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Shankar Shanmugam, known simply as Shankar. The director has previously made vigilante action dramas such as Indian, Nayak, and Sivaji in the past and Game Changer looks like he has returned back to his roots. The Ram Charan-starrer is one of the most awaited films of 2025.

Shankar's last release Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan was a massive box office failure last year and now, he will hope to bounce back with Game Changer, which also marks his debut in Tollywood. Apart from Telugu, it will also be released in Hindi and Tamil on January 10 on the occasion of Sankranti and Pongal. Dil Raju has produced the upcoming film under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.
