Game Changer box office collection day 5: Ram Charan's film jumps on Pongal, Makar Sankranti; crosses Rs 100 crore mark

Game Changer box office collection day 5: S. Shankar-directed, Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer opened at the box office with a bang, collecting over Rs 50 crores. After the first day, the movie saw a continuous decline in the collection. However, the partial holiday of Pongal and Makar Sankranti benefited the film, and it saw a good jump on its fifth day.  

The early estimates of the film are out, and as per trade portal Sacnilk, on Tuesday, January 14, Game Changer earned Rs 10.19 crores in India. The collection includes Rs 6.30 crores in Telugu, Rs 2.94 crores in Hindi, and Rs 95 lakhs in Tamil languages. 

Game Changer has now successfully entered Rs 100-crore club and the total domestic collection till day five stands at 106.34 crores. After minting Rs 51 crores on day one, the film saw a huge drop on day two, earning Rs 21 crores, followed by Rs 15.90 crores on day three, Rs 7.65 crores on day four, and Rs 10.19 crores on day five. 

The movie is now facing stiff competition from Nandamuri Balakrishna's Daaku Maharaj. These two films will face competition from Venkatesh-starrer action comedy Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which was released in the theatres on January 14 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. All three movies are expected to attract audiences to theatres in huge numbers in this festive week of Pongal and Sankranti. 

In the political thriller Game Changer Ram Charan stars in dual roles as a father and son, with Kiara Advani, Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, and Jayaram playing key roles. The political thriller marks Shankar's debut in Telugu cinema. Apart from Telugu, the film has also been released in the dubbed version in Hindi and Tamil languages.
