India vs England Live Score, 3rd Test Match Day 1: India and England are set to lock horns in the 3rd Test match, scheduled to be played at the iconic Lord's in London. Currently, the Anderson-Tendulkar series is levelled at 1-1 after Team India clinched the Edgbaston Test by 336 runs. India won the game with the help of stellar innings by skipper Shubman Gill, who scored over 400 runs in the game, making him only the 5th player ever to do so. However, the Lord's Test won't be an easy one for either of the teams as the star bowlers of the respective teams are making a return in the Playing XI. Jasprit Bumrah for India and Jofra Archer for England will be playing in 3rd Test, adding more excitement among fans.

Akash Deep bowled to Joe Root, who hit a couple of runs to point and defended some deliveries. Root managed to stay at 99 runs while batting at the non-striker’s end. Akash then bowled to Ben Stokes, who defended well. By the end of Day 1, England scored 251 for four in 83 overs. It was a slow day of cricket with a run rate of 3. 02. India bowled well but only took four wickets, hoping for better luck on Day 2.
Washington bowls to Stokes, who defends the ball on the stumps. The ball is aimed at the left-hander, and he defends it back. There is a silly point in place. Stokes hits the ball to square leg for a single. Root chooses to play a reverse sweep and gets a single to deep backward point. Stokes also scores a single to deep cover.
Nitish bowls to Stokes, who hits the ball to the boundary at fine leg. India decides to review the play using DRS. Stokes moves forward and gets hit on the pads. The ball is shown to be clipping the stumps, but the decision stays with the umpire, saving Stokes.
Siraj is bowling again. He starts by bowling to Stokes, who hits the ball for two runs through midwicket. Stokes is confident in defending the next two balls. After playing a shot on the fourth delivery, he checks his bat. On the last delivery, Stokes cuts the ball and gets a run to deep point.
Bumrah bowls to Brook, who defends well. Then, Bumrah delivers a brilliant ball that moves in, hitting the stumps and getting Brook out for 11 runs. Ben Stokes comes in next and faces a short ball from Bumrah, which he ducks under.
Jadeja takes a wicket on the first ball, with Pope edging to the keeper after trying to play with the turn. Ollie Pope is out for 44 runs. Harry Brook comes in next and scores his first run with a drive, while Root adds a single at the end of the over.
Washington is at the other end of the pitch. Slip is back in position. Root hits the ball to deep midwicket and scores one run. Over the wicket, Pope defends the ball to the legside and then gets a single to point. It is now tea time on Day 1.
Joe Root scores fifty runs, marking his 67th half-century in his career. He plays a shot to the fine leg for a boundary and defends another ball. Root also hits a ball to deep point for a single, while Pope adds another single by tucking a full ball to deep square.
Akash Deep to Pope, tries to flick the ball to the leg side but misses. He then drives a fuller, wider ball straight to cover for four runs. A slightly shorter ball is pulled by Pope past the deep square fielder for another four. He angles a ball into his body and clips it towards midwicket for a single. Root gets an inside edge, which trickles behind square on the leg side for one.
Nitish Reddy returns to bowl and delivers a full ball on the pads, which Pope hits through midwicket for three runs. Pope then attempts a cut shot on a slightly wide delivery, but the ball is too close for a safe shot and edges it, falling short of the third slip.
England openers, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, have provided a good start to the innings. Both the openers managed to protect wickets from falling, facing all-three Indian pacers - Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj.
