Saif Ali Khan is currently in the hospital, recovering after being stabbed by an intruder at his residence. The incident left the film industry in shock, and the prayers of his well-wishers saved him miraculously even after six stabs. Saif isn't just known for his royal persona and impressive acting chops, but he's also loved for his perfectly-timed punchlines and witty sense of humour. 

Saif has the talent of turning any event into a funny incident. Earlier, in an interview with East India Comedy, Saif recalled receiving one of the most expensive gifts from the daughter of the Sultan of Brunei. Speaking about it the actor shared that the Sultan’s daughter was a big Bollywood fan, and met him while he attended a high-profile meeting with the Sultan.

The actor said, "I remember hoping that the Sultan of Brunei would not kill me. I was also surprised to see the things that those people used. The Sultan used to invite Michael Jackson to sing, he is very rich. I remember once he called us. I, Manisha Koirala and a few others met him at the Dorchester Hotel in London." The Race actor further added that mistakenly sat on the Sultan's chair, "There was a big chair and a small chair. I didn’t think much and went and sat on the big chair, but this chair was kept reserved for the Sultan. When his daughter came to visit, she took a photo and gave me a box before leaving. When I opened the box, it contained a gold and diamond studded Rolex watch."

What did Saif do after receiving the watch?

In the same interview Saif revealed that after receiving the gift, he decided to sell it, and even reportedly approached producer Ramesh Taurani. However, he didn't buy it, and Saif kept the gift safe in his house. Years later, he gifted the watch to his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, because the watch was feminine. 

Saif Ali Khan's health update

Saif Ali Khan was successfully operated and he's currently recovering. As per the reports, Saif is expected to get discharged by January 21.
