Kangana Ranaut reveals if she will ever work with Swara Bhasker again: 'If I don't like a person...'

Kangana Ranaut and Swara Bhasker shared the screen space in the romantic dramas Tanu Weds Manu in 2011 and Tanu Weds Manu Returns in 2015. But, both the actress haven't worked with each other after Kangana called Swara "a B-grade" actress in an argument on Twitter in 2020. Now, in a recent interview, Kangana was asked if she will ever like to work with Swara again.

Talking to the YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra on his podcast, the multiple National Award-winning actress said, "Of course we can work together. Back then, too, her ideology was different. Woh hamesha communism aur socialism ko leke uske ideas set pe bhi chalte the (She would talk about communism and socialism on set too). I have never formed a perception about an actor or any person based on their interviews. This privilege is with leftists, not with us. So many actors I have worked with come from different ideologies. Even if I don’t like a person, I can work with them because I am not the authority on that person’s character. I can’t pass judgment on them."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana is now busy promoting her latest release Emergency, which hit theatres on January 17. The political drama marks her solo directorial debut and sees her portraying the late former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, and Mahima Choudhry also play pivotal roles in Emergency.

Emergency has delivered an impressive start at the box office, wrapping up its first weekend with Rs 12.26 crores. The film saw steady growth, earning Rs 3.11 crores on Friday, Rs 4.28 crores on Saturday, and Rs 4.87 crores on Sunday. With strong box office collections and positive word-of-mouth, the film is set to continue its successful run in the coming days.
