After the Jigra controversy, director Vasan Bala made an interesting revelation about Alia Bhatt. He claimed that after working with the actress, directors are likely to suffer. The comment was, however, made with good intention as he stated that the actress has no entourage, hence the director would be spoilt. 

Despite controversies around Jigra, Vasan never failed to heap praise on Alia. In the recent interaction, he recalled sweet memories from the sets of Jigra. "I clearly remember this day. Because our film was so intense, we barely laughed on sets and I was quiet in my director zone. Usually, sets are funny, but this film lacked humour so the environment on the set used to remain quiet serious. This one day, we had a lighter day and we were just chit-chatting and laughing,” he told Mashable.

Further, Vasan explained why directors would suffer after working with Alia.  "They will be spoilt and then unki agli film mein band bajegi. She has no entourage, nothing, she is always ready. Sometimes I didn’t even have to communicate how I wanted a scene, a gesture from my end would be enough for her to understand what I needed in that shot,” he added.

Meanwhile, Vasan Bala’s Jigra was embroiled in controversy for alleged corporate booking, and plagiarism. The director also sparked controversy when he shared that he was not happy when Karan had shared his ‘kachha pakka email, stream of consciousness thoughts’ with Alia. It was believed that Karan passed the role to Alia while Bala wrote the script keeping in mind Katrina. However, he later clarified saying that he always wanted to work with Alia it was just he was miffed that the script was sent to the actress without his knowledge.
