The news of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan being stabbed by a robber at his Mumbai residence left the nation in shock on Thursday morning. While the actor is now recovering in the hospital, one question that has everyone curious is: Who took Saif Ali Khan to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw during the early hours of Thursday?

Initial reports indicated that Saif Ali Khan's eldest son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, was the one who took his father to the hospital after the stabbing incident. However, a doctor from Lilavati Hospital has now clarified who actually brought the actor in. Here’s everything you need to know:

On Friday afternoon, doctors from Lilavati Hospital held a press conference to update the media about Saif Ali Khan’s condition. During the briefing, one of the medical professionals shared that Saif was brought to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw by his 8-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan, and not by Ibrahim as initially reported.

The doctor said, “Saif Ali Khan jab hospital aaye the, main woh doctor hu jo unko first hour mai mila hu. Unke poore usme blood tha, but he walked in like a lion with his small child, joh 6-7 saal ka ladka hai, Taimur. Uske saath walk in kiye, he is the real hero that way. Filmo mai herogiri karna theek hau, but ye ghar main aapke uppar attack ho raha hai, as a hero you’ve actually acted and come out of it. He is doing very well presently. His parameters even proved and has been shifted from the ICU to a special room. Today we will be keeping visitors in check because we want him to rest."

In contrast to the earlier statement, reports from Thursday suggested that Saif Ali Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw by his elder son, Ibrahim. According to the reports, Ibrahim, 23, helped his father, who was bleeding, into the rickshaw after the car wasn't ready to leave due to the driver’s unavailability at that time.

For the unversed, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured after an intruder stabbed him six times with a knife at his Mumbai residence in the early hours of Thursday, officials said.

The 54-year-old actor was rushed to the hospital and required a medical procedure following the attack, which took place around 2:30 am at his Bandra home. Kareena Kapoor was seen at Lilavati Hospital, where Saif Ali Khan is currently receiving treatment.
