Akshay Kumar shares BIG update on Hera Pheri 3 with Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty: 'If everything goes well it...'

Hera Pheri, one of the cult classic films starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty, has fans desperately waiting for a third sequel. There are reports that the makers are planning a third part of the hit film but there has been no official confirmation as yet. Now, Akshay Kumar has provided a major update on the film, stating that if everything works out well, the film shoot will start this year.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar was quoted as saying, "Even I am waiting to start Hera Pheri 3. I don’t know, but if everything goes well, it will start this year. When we started Hera Pheri, we didn’t know it would go ahead to become such a cult. Even when I saw the film, I didn’t understand. Yes, it was funny, but none of us expected the characters of Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam to become a cult."

Akshay Kumar, in his interview, also praised Paresh Rawal with whom he is currently working in Bhooth Bangla. "We were just shooting for Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur, and I had lots of fun with him. During Hera Pheri, we had a lot of fun, but there are some things that can’t be said on camera," he said. 

Hera Pheri was released in 2000 and was directed by Priyadarshan, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. The film went on to become a huge hit in the actors' careers. The sequel of the film Phir Hera Pheri was then released in 2006, continuing the story of the characters from the first film. 

Fans are now awaiting the third sequel of the hit franchise, which is expected to be a big release. On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently awaiting the release of his film Sky Force. The film is set to release on January 24, co-starring Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur.
