Iran's top Shiite cleric has issued a 'fatwa' or religious decree against US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling them "enemies of God". Reports suggest that the fatwa followed after alleged threats by President Trump and Israeli officials against the Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has revealed that the Israeli military had planned to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during the recent conflict between the two countries.
